Animal Health Laboratories (Ireland) Ltd is a Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory situated in the heart of West Cork. A privately owned facility formed in April 2010 due a need for an efficient veterinary specific laboratory in the region hence, AHLI Ltd was incorporated. The laboratory is perfectly positioned to carry out testing for the farmers and veterinary clinics in one of the most bovine inten

sive areas in Ireland. Our client base extends throughout Ireland mainly to large animal, equine vets and with farmers directly. We offer advice on disease testing and herd health issues and we also offer training courses for vets. We are a Department Of Agriculture approved laboratory for carrying out CEM testing and in 2012, Animal Health Labs were achieved ISO 17025 accreditation for testing for BVD and Johne's disease. We run specialised Herd Health programmes through various veterinary groups, which have proven to be extremely successful, please private mail us for more information. We have an online reporting system so that you now have the convenience of an email notification, linking to an online confidential report of your test results available via your own private log in to our system. We focus on building professional yet friendly relationships with all of our clients and have an excellent Customer Service team that are on hand to deal with all queries efficiently and effectively. We are seeking a talented and experienced administrative professional to join our team. If you have a flair for organisation, excellent interpersonal skills, and a proven track record in data processing, accounts, and reception, with an agricultural or veterinary background, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with data processing tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Manage accounts-related duties, including invoicing, payments, and record keeping.
• Serve as the first point of contact at reception, providing friendly and professional service to visitors and clients.
• Ensure smooth operation of daily administrative functions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
• Proven experience in data processing and accounts.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in relevant software such as Microsoft Office Suite, Sage 50 desirable.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
• Previous experience in a reception role is desirable.

WE ARE HIRING!

Summary of Reception/Administration duties:

•Operate switchboard from 9am – 5.30pm
•Monitor and ensure that the reception area is kept tidy and projects a business-like image at all times.
•Managing clients at desk and filling out the applicable submission forms
•Keep a record of staff and visitors signing in and out of the building
•Check and sign for deliveries, before informing the relevant member of staff of their arrival. Deliveries by post or courier will include valuable or important items that will urgently need to go into the laboratory. Follow procedures and ensure security of valuables.
• Organise couriers for clients with DPD or FASTWAY on a daily basis, ensure that all samples are picked up and dropped off at the lab when they are supposed to be. Take full control of this.
•Enter laboratory results
•Ensure all Equine results are updated and filed
•Liaising with lab staff
•Process and deliver internal and external mail daily.
•Ensure that Post is sorted on a daily basis
•General Admin duties as required

Educational Requirements:
Must be proficient in Microsoft
Ideal candidate will have experience in an administration / reception role in the past
Must have completed leaving certificate at a minimum

Salary
€27,000 PA
