🐶Meet max, a very good boy with a very important message!

Max belongs to one of our lovely vets David in our Carrigaline branch.
He is nearly 8 years old — the perfect time to start thinking about regular eye pressure checks! 🐾

Max recently had a tonometry test done, a quick, simple and non-invasive test that measures the pressure inside the eyes. 👀

But why is it so important?

🔹 Early detection: Helps identify abnormally high eye pressure, which can be a sign of glaucoma.
🔹 Protecting vision: High eye pressure can cause pain and permanent damage to your pet’s eyesight if left untreated.
🔹 Peace of mind: A quick check can help us spot potential problems early, often before obvious signs appear.
🔹 Senior pet care: As our pets get older, regular eye checks become an increasingly important part of keeping them happy and healthy. 💙

Glaucoma can progress quickly, so early detection really matters! Tonometry is a valuable tool in assessing eye health, although it doesn’t detect every eye condition.

Age is just a number… but their health is what really counts🐱

Cats are experts at hiding changes, which means subtle signs of ageing can sometimes be easy to miss.

A 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸 gives us the chance to take a closer look at your cat’s health and lifestyle, and chat about any changes you may have noticed – from grooming and eating habits to drinking, sleeping or behaviour.

The earlier we spot potential problems, the more we can do to help keep your feline friend happy, comfortable and thriving in their golden years🐾

Help us find these two boys their forever homes❤️🐾 🏠

Bobby (grey and white) and Pesto (black and white), are two beautiful 5-month old male kittens who are looking for their forever home. They are litter trained, neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated and have been treated against fleas and worms.

Both of the boys love to play and run around, have a great appetite, and always curl up together for a nap. Although they are still a little shy with people, they are gradually becoming more comfortable with receiving affection. A family who is happy to continue socialisation would be perfect.
As they are very bonded, we are looking to rehome them as a pair. An indoor home with safe access to the outdoors would be ideal, but fully indoor homes will also be considered. They get on very well with other cats and kittens, so would be suitable for a home with or without existing cats.

Please reach out on 086 842 8281 / 085 214 2802 for more information about Bobby and Pesto!

An adoption fee and home check will apply.

As our dogs get older, changes in their health can sometimes be subtle and easy to overlook. A Senior Health Check gives us the chance to take a closer look at their overall wellbeing and spot any potential concerns early.
