This is what I am doing for my herd who live out 24/7 when we are about to get sudden very high temperatures! What are you doing if you don’t have the ability to bring in to cool stables or your stables are wooden and like an oven?

Isla and Gem Took their riding and road safety test yesterday and passed!!! Gem was a star as she had to come in the trailer to do a holiday cover on the way back to the yard as i didn’t want to disturb routine too much.

When I am doing your holiday cover you can be sure I will put your horses needs above my own wants to give continuity of care x

Next week we are jumping up to 30’s, test again we are going from cooler temperatures to heatwave temperatures. Many horses have thicker summer coats. The best thing to help them cope with this is to clip them! It doesn’t ruin the coat (hair still grows in the summer).

It is also time to get these male horses sheath cleaned to help prevent fly strike!

Today I had the pleasure of preparing a lovely young Lady’s beautiful pony for prom!

A couple of weeks ago we did a clip and did a crown clip art at the request of her lovely lady riding her to prom. It only felt fitting that we bought this to life with a little gold which would be revealed when she dismounted!

I am pleased the flowers stayed in her tail and went along with the vision I had (I can’t lie i woke up several times last night worrying about it 😂).
