Did you know that long nails can cause problems with posture, which can then lead to joint issues too?

Did you know that we offer a ‘nails only’ service?

If your dog’s nails are too long, regular trimming can get them back to a good length. We recommend every 2 weeks if they are overly long. The amount we can trim is determined by where the quick ends (the blood vessel inside the nail).

Regular trims encourage the quick to draw back, allowing us to gradually shorten the length of the nail!

Nail trimming is always included in our full groom service (as long as your dog will allow us to trim them).

It's really important to remember that being underweight can be just as much of a problem as being overweight!

If you are concerned about your dog's weight, we would always advise seeking advice from your vet.

If you go to the vets for teeth cleaning, you'll expect to pay anything between £100 and £500 with the average cost being a whopping £233!! (costs taken from dogster.com on 14th July 2025)

What does it cost at The Dog House?

Our initial consultation is just £15. During the consultation visit, we will discuss your dog’s teeth to ensure that we can help improve your dog’s dental hygiene. Some dogs may need a vet referral before we can help!

Our teeth cleaning appointments are only £25*!! You will initially need to purchase a toothbrush head from us at £10, but this belongs to your dog and will last for at least 10/15 future appointments.
