We held our annual AGM today thank you to all who attended. We said a huge heartfelt thank you to our outgoing Chair Annie Cripps and welcomed our new Chair Pippa Atkinson. We are hugely grateful to Annie for all she has done in the last 6 years to steer our group upwards and onwards, and we welcome Pippa who we know brings a wealth of experience as a coach and Trustee to the role. Annie will remain as a Trustee to assist Pippa with the transition. Thank you both from all the members of NYRDA.

Huge congratulations and thank you to both Barbara and Caroline who received volunteer certificates of recognition today. Caroline has completed 5yrs and Barbara 1 years service at New Yatt RDA.

An extra thank you to Barbara who has created a rather lovely pony pumpkin for our yard. The hobby horses are also keen to get into the Halloween spirit.

Congratulations to our Saturday rider Louis who started his show jumping journey with us on his pony Blue. Louis was super proud and so were the whole New Yatt RDA team. Keep up the great work Louis!

We had the great pleasure of welcoming Penny and her family to the yard today for our ‘Tea With A Pony’ experience.

Penny is living with dementia and has spent most of her life around horses. Penny and her family enjoyed a cup of tea with our pony Tia and meeting our team at New Yatt RDA.

Peggy Sue also received her 5 year long service award this summer. She is 14 years old, and was purchased form Southlea Barns where she was used as a riding club pony - those riders who play games on her feel she remembers those fast fun days. The Boot Band Stonesfield Concert and Christmas donations helped to fund her acquisition. Peggy Sue has Two white socks to tell her apart from Betty.

WenRye Harry received his 10 year service award from our local vicar Revd Margaret Dixon and our Chair Annie Cripps. Harry is 20 years old and was purchased in 2016 from a Northamptonshire Police Officer. His purchase was funded by the Glasgow Family Foundation USA. Harry is our best weight carrying horse and is used for our teen and adult riders.
