Next up was the gentle soul, Burdock.
We had a great session today — his first go at a full grid to see where he’s at as we start bringing everything together. Spotted a few bits that need polishing, but he nailed other areas and really gave it his all. Super proud of him — well done, big man!

First one out today — the handsome lad, Foggy.
We had a great session working on a new grid to really challenge him. Focused on holding areas, stop handling, and clean lines. He put in a solid shift and worked hard — well done, big man! Cracking session.

Last session of the day with the pocket rocket, Jaffa! Today we worked on refining her stop whistle over longer distances and introduced her to some directional work. She absolutely smashed it! One very tired little lady at the end of it.

The beautiful Jasmine. She’s been really under the weather lately and is still on the mend, so we kept things light today. A gentle play-based session was just what she needed—and she absolutely loved it. A lovely little moment for this sweet girl.

Next up was Mabel. Today’s focus was on building her steadiness—teaching her that movement doesn’t always mean it’s her turn. Each time something was thrown, she was sent away to hunt instead. A great little exercise to break that fixation on movement and get her thinking. She absolutely loved it. Cracking work, Mabel the Springer!

Cracking start to the morning with this handsome lad, Wallace. We mixed things up with a few different games today—focusing on stopping on commitment and keeping his mind sharp. He gave it his all and handled the pressure like a pro. Good lad, Wallace!

First night back with the retriever group and our evening training is officially underway!
Absolutely love working the dogs in these evening sessions—even if the weather didn’t quite play ball (more rain and wind than sunshine, but hey ho!).
We focused on tightening up those holding areas, stopping and holding, and pushing through with confidence. Built it all up in small, manageable steps and every team worked hard.
Great effort from everyone—well done!

Next up was Mighty Millie the Working Cocker! Today’s focus was on building steadiness to movement. We played a few games to channel that steadiness into her hunting—laying the groundwork to make her steady to flush. She worked her little white socks off and absolutely loved every minute. This little powerhouse never stops!

Started the day with the gentle giant himself—Ragnor the German Shepherd. Today’s session focused on bringing the fun into training, because that’s what really motivates him. We worked on heel work, a solid stop, some focused stalking games, and his favourite—the two-toy game. He gave it his all and was absolutely pooped by the end. Great job, big man!

“Great session with this stunner Delphi the Labrador!
We focused on her steadiness and staying calm before being sent for retrieves. Also worked on stopping without predicting the direction, and moving her off other dummies with clean handling. She smashed it — well done, girl!”

Wrapping up the day with the sweetest little Springer — Aspen.
Today we focused on her stop work, helping her learn to pause so she’s ready for direction when needed during retrieves.
She put in loads of effort, and through some fun little games, she really started to understand it. Such lovely progress — well done, little lady!

Next up — the little firecracker herself, Thistle!
This Springer springs into action every time. Today’s focus was on handling while hunting and encouraging her to really get that nose down and work the ground.
She was absolutely on fire — full of drive, full of fun. Still young, so it’s all about building that confidence and keeping it fun. Smashed it, little lady! .luna .canine

Charlie Boy absolutely smashed it today!
We had a great session working on his hunting in the woods at Arley — really focusing on staying tight and having successful finds.
We’re getting him ready for the upcoming season beating ,and today was a huge step forward. All off-lead and totally switched on.
Buzzing with his progression! .canine

The sun was out in full force today, and first up was the fabulous Isla at .canine
We took advantage of the ground and pushed on with her training — focusing on stops, handling, and pushing away even when distractions were in sight. She absolutely worked her socks off!
Massive well done, we wrapped up with a shared apple and some well-earned chill time. ♥️
