In both life and business, there are certain things I just don’t compromise on.

For me, it’s simple:

Time for a little Sparkling Spruces magic …. 5 facts you might not know about me, my business, and the world we work in…

1️⃣ We don’t just clean , we’re fully trained in biohazard cleaning (yes, we’ve handled the unexpected and lived to tell the tale!).
2️⃣ Our signature scent is Blue Spruce…. fresh, crisp, and just a little festive… perfectly in keeping with our name, our logo, and my year-round love of Christmas 🎄. You’ll find it in our toilet dust, carpet freshener, sink & mop fizzers, and even our wax melts.
3️⃣ I’m unapologetically Christmas obsessed 🤣😍 I’ve already ticked off 3 festive films this summer.
4️⃣ Our kit bags are organised like a tiny pop-up shop, every cloth, spray, and mop has its own perfect place.
5️⃣ We’re on a mission to make homes and workplaces feel lighter, fresher, and a little more joyful …. no judgement, just genuine care.

Today I’m taking a moment to give myself (and everyone who’s been part of the journey) a huge pat on the back 💛

In less than a year, Sparkling Spruces Cleaning Services has gone from me with a mop and a dream… to a thriving business serving amazing clients, taking on bigger cleans, and building a future team I’m so excited about.

It hasn’t all been easy, there’s been long days, late nights, and enough coffee to power a small city, but every single step has been worth it.

This is your reminder that no milestone is too small to celebrate 🎉 Whether it’s landing a new client, smashing a turnover goal, or simply finding a bit more confidence than you had last week …. it’s all worth shouting about.

✨ Today’s Office = The Back Seat 🚗✨

I’ve been officially demoted from the passenger seat by Ashton today …. so here I am, running Sparkling Spruces HQ from the back of the car on our way to Cornwall 💛

Still, it’s been a productive road trip…
✔️ Sent off 3 quotes
✔️ Replied to a couple of emails
✔️ Followed up with a few clients
✔️ Reorganised my to-do list
✔️ Taken a moment to just take it all in
✔️ Amused the boys (even if it was only plugging in a device or finding the next Netflix binge 😅)

That’s the beauty of running your own business, you can make it work anywhere, even from the back seat with snacks and streaming in full swing.

✨ Before Sparkling Spruces… there was just me. Dreaming. Doubting. Daring. ✨

Before this business, I wore a lot of hats, like most mums do.
Juggling home life, working when I could, surviving not thriving.
Exhausted, stretched, and often wondering is this it?

But somewhere inside, I knew I was meant for more.
More than just getting through the day.
More than just existing.

🌱 I dreamed of building something mine.
Something that helped others.
Something that gave me freedom, purpose, and a chance to shine in my own way.

✨ And now? I run Sparkling Spruces.
I’ve built it from the ground up. I get to lead with heart, support families, and create fresh starts …. not just clean spaces.

I’m still growing. Still learning.
But I’m no longer that version of me who doubted it could happen.

There was a time when I questioned everything.
Running a business?

It all felt miles away.

💭 I started out with a lot of self-doubt, more than I let on.
But now, people tell me I’m confident, professional, and building something amazing.
The truth?
