We had a brilliant £250 donated by this cycling group. We really appreciate this. Here's a bit about what this group do.

As the Sun rose on the shortest day of the year, 76 riders took on the Winter Solstice Alleycat, the first trial in a newly launched ultra distance cycling series( The Solstice Series).

Alleycat is a cycling event format whereby cyclists must visit a set of checkpoints in the quickest time possible. The term Alleycat originates from Toronto in the 80/90s when cycle messengers would race each other around the city to see who was the fastest.

The Solstice Series donates 5% of its ticket sales to good causes. As this was our first Alleycat style event we decided to support Avon Cat rescue, you could say that we were riding Alleycats to save alleycats.

Dear supporters, Avon Cat Rescue would like to send you wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! The past year has been another successful one with so many lovely stories of poor cats, down on their luck, going on to recover their health and happiness in new loving homes. In early December the storm did cause our biggest setback with one of our best pens wrecked. However, no volunteers or cats were hurt. Five cats escaped, we have four - Monty, Syssal, Lulu and Toby back safely in another pen and the final cat Peaches is clearly enjoying her freedom in the garden. She's eating well and she will be back in a pen soon, even if she does think she doesn't need us. When we asked for help after the damage the support that poured out was a wonderful surprise to us. At this point we have raised £19,961.56 towards out rebuild which is going to cost us around £34, 000. Such generosity enables to do all our cat care. This Christmas many cats are being spoilt in loving homes and the cats at the rescue will have warmth, safety, good food and will be waited on hand and foot by volunteers. Enjoy your Christmas holiday and let's look forward to 2025 being another year full of happy cat stories. Thank you for all your support it means the world 😻

Each one that is sold helps us feed and care for the cats featured and all the others at the rescue! Please make a purchase and show us your support. 🤩😻😽

Avon Cat Rescue

The charity began over 50 years ago based in the garden of a cottage in the village of Welford-on-Avon. We have cats available for homing and also cats that live permanently at the rescue. Viewing is by appointment. There is always a selection of cats to be chosen from. Please consider us if you are looking for a pet.
