Get prepared early for this summer: Do you know what Camelids need in summer?

Over summer Camelids have specific needs so its important to make sure you are considering these to ensure the health and welfare of your animals. We have added a few of the essential ones below:
🦙 As the weather warms up parasite populations can increase so ensure you consult your vet.
🦙Shearing, or at least clipping the fleece on the belly and chest helps camelids dissipate heat more effectively.
🦙 Camelids are vulnerable to heat stress, so providing ample shade, such as trees or shelters, is essential.
