Pretzel the Cockerpoo 🐾

Pretzel joined me on my 6-day pick-up & drop-off package to work on:
• Lead manners
• Loose lead walking
• Dog reactivity

Over the 6 days, we worked in a wide range of real-life environments — from busy parks to cafés — and he absolutely smashed it 👏

To ensure clear communication and safe handling, I used a slip lead to maintain control and apply fair, minimal corrections where needed. Transparency is a huge part of what I do, so you’ll always know exactly how your dog is being trained.

I don’t believe in training in empty fields — because that’s not real life. Your dog needs to learn where it matters most… out in the real world 🌍

❄️ Winter Warning for Dog Owners ❄️

With icy weather comes road salt and rock salt — and while it keeps us safe, it can be dangerous for our dogs’ paws.

🧂 Salt can cause:
• Painful burns, cuts and cracking to paw pads
• Soreness and limping
• Toxic reactions if dogs lick salt off their paws
• Irritation between toes that can lead to infection

Dogs don’t always show pain straight away, so by the time they’re limping, the damage may already be done.

🐶 How to protect your dog:
✔️ Rinse and dry paws after walks
✔️ Use paw balm or protective wax
✔️ Try dog boots if your dog will tolerate them
✔️ Stick to untreated paths where possible

A few small steps can prevent a lot of pain. Let’s keep our dogs safe and comfortable this winter 🐾❤️
