Our third and final new face is ...Andrea!

Andrea joins us from Northern Ireland and is currently studying Veterinary Nursing at Harper Adams University. She’ll be spending the year with us as a student veterinary nurse, gaining hands-on experience here at Bishopton.

Outside of work Andrea enjoys horse riding, walking her two golden retrievers and looking after her cats and hamster. We’re delighted to have her on the team!

👋Meet Rosie 👋
Rosie grew up on her family farm in Green Hammerton and still helps out whenever she can - especially with her much-loved show bull, Chief! While many thought she’d become a farm vet, Rosie discovered her passion for small animal practice during her training at the University of Liverpool and whilst on placement here at Bishopton!

She has a particular interest in orthopaedics and soft tissue surgery and hopes to pursue further qualifications in the future. Outside of work, Rosie enjoys horse riding, netball, and baking - her chocolate orange brownies have already won over the Bishopton team!

We're delighted to welcome a few new faces this week...
👋Meet Kate 👋
Kate graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2025, having previously completed a degree in Animal Science at the University of Essex and then spending 4 years in conservation with the RSPB. She enjoys all areas of clinical work, with a growing interest in surgery, imaging and dentistry.

At home Kate cares for her two snakes Iris the rainbow boa and Scrat the royal python. Originally from Bedfordshire, she’s excited to explore Yorkshire’s countryside and in her downtime loves gardening, reading and keeping active.

What a cutie 🥰! Meet adorable Meggie who is a Bichon Frisé crossed with a Border Collie. Meggie visited our Northallerton surgery to have her first vaccinations (and lots of fuss) with vet Richard! 😍

😻 This is the beautiful Lily that came to us in a bit of a pickle after sustaining horrific bite wounds, most likely from a badger 🦡

Lily was completely collapsed and in shock with a severe wound to her right shoulder.

Vet Tom saw Lily out of hours and provided immediate first aid and stabilisation.

Lily was stabilised for 3 days, in hospital prior to surgery to remove her severely affected front leg. 🦵

It was touch and go for 5 days but with feeding tubes, continuous rate infusion pain relief, laser, physio, little by little she improved. 😍

Cases like Lily are a mammoth team effort of love and dedication and here she is having her first meal 🥰

There is nothing more makes our hearts sing 🎵

10-days after her emergency admission, Lily was discharged back home.

Her latest PetsApp update suggests she’s continued her cheeky behaviour at home and has already had a tour of the house to ensure nothing has changed.

Meet super cute Rory who visited our Pateley branch for a vaccination chat with one of the team, a cuddle with Sariah and signed up to our revamped Lifetime Care Club.

Our new plan has two options: Essentials and Unlimited.
So what’s the difference.

Our Essentials plan covers your pet’s vaccinations, parasite treatments and other preventative healthcare needs, for £23.50 a month for dogs
and £19.50 a month for cats.

Our Unlimited plan adds in unlimited consults with our team of vets, plus 20% off, among other things, neutering and dentals – at £29.50 for dogs and £25.50 for cats.

That means for just £6 extra a month you can have as many consults with our team as you need.
It’s a no brainer!

Meet Wynn! He was literally jumping for joy in his physio session with nurse Eleanor today.

Wynn is 4 weeks into recovery from a torn cruciate ligament and doing brilliantly 😍 Physio is an excellent way to now start rebuild his muscle and help maximise his recovery ❤‍🩹

Wynn, who loves his treats, was very excited to learn sit to stands, circling, figure-of-8s and even cavaletti poles. We can’t wait to see how he gets on over the next few weeks!

Thinking your dog could benefit from physio? Give us a call ☎️

📣We're hiring!

We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised receptionist to join our Farm Animal Department. This is a varied and rewarding role at the centre of our operations, supporting a busy team of ambulatory vets and technicians who often work under challenging conditions in the field.

The role involves far more than answering calls. You will be responsible for prioritising visits, fitting in pre-planned appointments alongside urgent requests, and reassessing the daily plan as the situation evolves. At the same time, you will manage a range of ongoing administrative tasks, ensuring important deadlines are met and the team can rely on you to keep things running smoothly.

Experience in a veterinary, farming, or healthcare environment would be helpful, but is not essential as full training will be provided. Full or part-time - flexible hours considered.
