🐾 We’re Hiring: Locum Patient Care Veterinary Nurse (Part-Time) – Maternity Cover 🐾

The University of Liverpool’s Small Animal Teaching Hospital (Leahurst Campus, Wirral) is looking for a qualified Veterinary Nurse to join our Patient Care team on a part-time basis to cover a period of maternity leave.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within our busy, state-of-the-art referral hospital, providing nursing support across a range of areas including:

🔹 ICU
🔹 Wards
🔹 Pharmacy
🔹 Theatre
🔹 Other clinical services throughout the hospital

💷 Salary: £29,588 – £33,951 per annum (pro rata)
⏰ Part-time: 22 hours per week (Monday & Tuesday, 7am–7pm)
📍 Leahurst Campus, Wirral
📅 Fixed-term from 7 September 2026 to 6 September 2027
📅 Closing date: 21 June 2026

We’re looking for a qualified Veterinary Nurse with relevant experience, excellent nursing skills and strong interpersonal skills. Flexibility is required, including participation in the nursing rota for weekends, Bank Holidays and University closed days.

The University of Liverpool’s Small Animal Teaching Hospital (Leahurst Campus, Wirral) is looking for a qualified Veterinary Nurse to join our busy Diagnostic Imaging team within our state-of-the-art referral hospital.

This exciting role offers the opportunity to work with advanced imaging facilities including:
🔹 Computed Tomography (CT)
🔹 Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
🔹 X-ray
🔹 Ultrasound
🔹 Advanced fluoroscopy imaging

You’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional patient care while working alongside a supportive specialist team.

💷 Salary: £29,558 – £33,951 per annum
🌴 Plus 26 days holiday (pro rata), pension & additional benefits
⏰ Full-time – 35 hours/week (part-time applicants considered)
