It’s bonfire night! 🎇
We hope everyone has a safe and nice evening! We know it can be hard on some pets so here are our top tips that may help:
🐶 Create a quiet safe space somewhere in the house for your pet
🐱 Have sound on in the background (radio or TV - some radio stations do tailor to the needs of pets for fireworks night)
🐶 Snood around their head can sometimes help to feel safe
🐱 Keep pets inside and safe
🐶 Have ID tags/collars up to date in case they escape

Meet Bertha! 🐶
This lovely girl came in to us a few months ago due to having a large mass needing removal at her back end.
Our advanced practitioner, Dr Nick Whieldon performed this surgery. Due to the size of the mass and the area it was in, he had to resect her tail to use as a skin flap.
The pictures attached show her fully recovered now and living her best life! 🐾

Meet Crookshanks! 🐱🐾
This gorgeous boy came to see us a while back after being involved in a road traffic accident.

He has been through so much! His initial problem was that he had a dislocated hip. But more seriously, we discovered that he had a diaphragmatic hernia which needed to be addressed urgently. Our vet Rob Forrester carried out surgery to correct this, enabling Crookshanks to be able to breath again.

After some recovery time and 10 days later he returned for Nick Whieldon to repair his hip.

It was a long road to recovery but he is now signed off, content and happy !
