☀️ HOT WEATHER NOTICE ☀️

As the weather is set to get much warmer from tomorrow and into next week, please be reminded that dogs will not be walked when temperatures are predicted to be over 22°C.

This may mean starting walks earlier, shortening walks or cancelling walks altogether. Cancelling walks is never something I want to do, but your dog’s safety and wellbeing will always be my top priority. If walks are cancelled home visits will be offered instead.

Please also be aware that brachycephalic breeds (flat-faced dogs), elderly dogs, and dogs under 1 year old may have walks cancelled if I feel they may struggle in the heat.

Remember no walk is worth risking your dog’s life.

Thank you for your understanding and support during the warmer weather.

🐶 Practical Dog First Aid Course – Be Ready When It Matters Most ⛑️

We’re excited to be hosting a CPD-accredited Dog First Aid Course in Carhampton, Minehead, on Sunday 29th March at Carhampton Village Hall TA24 6ND.
This practical course is delivered by Amanda from Allwinds First Aid.
Amanda is passionate about helping dog owners & dog professionals feel confident when the unexpected happens with years of experience as a veterinary nurse, she has herself saved many dogs.

As dog owners, we do everything we can to keep our furry friends safe — but accidents and emergencies can happen in seconds.
Would you know what to do if your dog was choking? Collapsed? Bleeding heavily? Overheated on a summer walk?

What will you learn?

✔️ How to perform canine CPR
✔️ What to do if your dog is choking
✔️ How to deal with bleeding and bandaging
✔️ Recognising signs of heatstroke and shock
✔️ Managing seizures safely
✔️ Handling fractures and injuries
✔️ Building a dog first aid kit

This is a practical course — you won’t just sit and listen. You’ll practice techniques in a supportive, guided environment so you leave feeling confident and capable in any situation you may face.

This event is supporting the rescue where my beautiful boys, Otis & Frankie, came from — Paws4thought.
Money raised from bookings will be donated directly to them to help rescue, rehabilitate and rehome dogs in need. By attending, you’re not only learning life-saving skills — you’re also helping give other dogs the chance at a happy, loving home, just like Otis and Frankie found.
