HAPPY EASTER FOLKS ! 🐣 🐇
Spring is always my favourite time of the year, with lambs, flowers, and this year, lots of sunshine too 🌞

PLAY DATES 🤩
Last year, we introduced the option of play dates for our doggy guests. If you would like your dog to socialise with other dogs whilst they are staying with us, you will need to fill in a form to give us permission and information on your dogs personality and if we feel that we have a suitable playmate, we will carefully introduce them and let playtime begin !
They could hopefully have as much fun as this little group did a couple of weeks ago
Bertie, Darby, Beaut, Mabel, Freddie and of course my own Flossie

Bertie just couldn't wait to get back into his room ! 🤣😍
Although we did have to be careful that all the other rooms were locked, or he would have been letting all his friends out to party !😂🐶

It's been a very busy half term again ! 😎 lots of our lovely regular little faces, plus some new ones added to the mix.
It's a play hard, sleep well motto here at Hillside ! 😛🤩😴🥰

We hope you all had a lovely Xmas.

I expect most of you are probably now back at work, and the Christmas holidays seem like a distant memory !
As most of you already know, we will be closing on Sunday 12th January for our much anticipated post Xmas break, and reopen on Tuesday 28th January. So if you have any booking enquiries, do get in touch before the weekend as any emails received after the weekend won't be replied to until after the 28th.
We look forward to seeing everyone for their 2025 holidays, and thank you for your custom throughout 2024 !

My plan was to post a lovely Christmassy scene of our own dogs in their Xmas finery ........but as you can see, this proved to be more challenging than anticipated 🙈
so here's some beautiful scenery from this mornings walks 😁

Vera & Mabel were one of the first to enjoy our newly laid " runway " of artificial grass 😄
Simon has been hard at work this autumn to create a second, clean, mud free exercise space for us, where we can have a good game of ball without getting muddy paws !
We have also extended the grass area to include the hedges for extra sniffs on the nicer days 🤩

We have had a collection box for Forest dog rescue, since we first opened back in 2019
In addition to this, we would now like to open our business to be a drop off point for any unwanted dog beds, blankets, towels etc and food/treats for Birch hill dog rescue
Donations can be dropped off any afternoons between 2 & 5pm ( or when bringing your dog for boarding ) Once we have a load, will pass it on to the rescue

If your dog is booked in to stay with us within the next 2 months or so, please please check their vaccination dates NOW
If they are out of date they may need to have a re-start. This means they will need 2 vaccinations 4 weeks apart, plus we will then need a further 2 weeks before they are classed as fully vaccinated and we can board them. These aren't our rules, they are set by our licensing regulations.
Not only does this cause havoc with your holiday plans, but it costs us hundreds of pounds in lost income - over £500 this week alone !
Vets are now NOT sending reminders

With thoughts already turning to next year's holidays, we would like to make our customers aware that we will be closing for a post Xmas break for ourselves and our staff from 13th to 27th January.
Also, after the busy summer months, from September 22nd to October 3rd
