Hi my name is Zoe Young I qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2009 but have worked in practice since 2005. Several years ago I completed a Certificate in Feline Friendly Nursing and can now be found on the International Cat Care website listed as a Feline Friendly Nurse. I have always had a passion for saving animals since I was a little girl and started rescuing and rehoming kittens 10 years ago when I started working in Vet Practice. Over the years I have worked with hundreds of cats both domestic and feral. Rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming those without homes and capturing feral colonies and organising for them to be neutered and released again as appropriate to keep the feline population under control. Anyone who knows me will tell you I have a real passion for the Feline species. Many describe me as the crazy cat lady!! Or perhaps just crazy as on many occasions I have taken other animals home including stray ferrets, chinchillas and orphaned baby birds! My aim now that I have built my luxury chalet is to become a non profit organisation or charity to enable me to organise official fundraising events to help with the expenses of looking after the animals that come into my care. Photos are not my forte at the moment it seems 🤦‍♀️ but thought I’d share a photo with you of another of my latest arrivals equally full of flu but from a completely different location . I cannot stress enough that people need to take responsibility and neuter their cats . There have always been feral cats about in rural areas but it has become ridiculous how many colonies there are now within the local area, sadly including in housing estates simply because people aren’t spaying/castrating their pets. The problem is getting out of control and will continue to escalate . There aren’t enough resources available to help them all . The cats and kittens are suffering with awful diseases , immune suppressed , malnourished and dying long drawn out deaths. We do not need to be breeding from our pet cats . There are enough unwanted kittens and cats out there already . Rant over!

Very hard to get good pictures of this lady but she’s doing fab and now ready to leave. She has come from a feral colony where flu is rife and the cats have had a really rough ride . Every effort is being made to trap and neuter all of the cats in the area and treat as many of the kittens as possible but it is a mammoth task. Things would be helped if people would return my resources . I currently do not know the whereabouts of the majority of my traps which is very disappointed . So if you’ve borrowed one then please return it . Either to Teme vets Ludlow or my home address . I need these things to help these cats !!! This girl has come on leaps and bounds under my care . She still looks a bit rough round the edges but I see no benefit to her staying here any longer . Despite her feral background she’s a little purrball and loves a fuss . She is getting very bored of being here and talks to me regularly about getting out . She has been wormed and deflead . She’s about 12/13 weeks ish eating well and using the litter tray like a superstar . I am looking for a home where she can be a pet but also have the ability to safely explore the great outdoors. If you would be interested in offering her a home imminently then please get in touch .

After admitting yet another feral kitten with awful cat flu last night I’m asking for as many donations of kitten food as possible. Both wet and dry . Also very grateful for donations of kitten milk , cat litter and adult cat food. I am also missing ALL of my cat traps !!! So if you’ve borrowed one then please return it asap unless you’re still using it. These traps are crucial to help to help me help the local community get on top of an ever increasing feral cat issue!!! . One final ask if you’ve got a cat and haven’t already got it neutered book it in now ! We are at crisis point in this area with cats . We have got to stop breeding.

Fantastic news 2 of the grey kittens have gone to their new home this evening. Unfortunately they’ve been replaced by another kitten who was found in Shelsey Walsh 🤦‍♀️. He is full of flu and covered in lice but luckily has tucked into a bowl of wet kitten food on arrival . Thankyou to the lovely girl who caught him and brought him here. The picture below was taken before she managed to get him .

I have taken in another 4 kittens over the last couple of days . As they have come from feral backgrounds originally they would benefit from getting into their new homes as soon as possible to get them further socialised and acclimatised . They are all sweet and very brible with food. They will as always be wormed and deflead before they leave .

Homes needed for large number of feral cats for local Trap Neuter Release project I am supporting . Can you help? Without homes they will be shot 😢. Have you loaned one of my traps ? If so please bring them back as I need them to help these cats!!
