Happy new year everyone!

We are planning to amalgamate our two pages together and will be using the main practice page from now on.

We’ll still be providing a service for all our alpaca and small holder clients and still sharing information and stories about them on social media.

But we have decided that this can be done better together rather than separately.

So please follow the practice page on Facebook and instagram and keep updated! The links are located at the bottom of this post.

🦙ALPACA FUN FACTS🦙

Don’t upset an Alpaca - they can spit up to TEN FEET! 🤬

They can communicate with their tails AND through vocalisations 🗣️

There are two breeds of Alpacas. The Huacaya (fluffier hair) and the Suri (wavy hair!). 💇🏼‍♀️

When eating, Alpacas ‘cut’ grass rather than pulling it from the root… this makes them excellent lawn mowers! 🌾

A baby Alpaca is called a ‘Cria’ and giving birth is called ‘unpacking’! 👶🏻

🐐SUNDAY FUN DAY!🐐

Although for these goats, every day is a fun day! 🤪

Research suggests that Goats have cognitive ability comparable to dogs!

🥕They have the ability to remember complex tasks in order to get food (like teaching a dog to sit!)

😱They can differentiate between human emotions and are sensitive to tone of voice

This all means, if they do not have adequate enrichment, they can get bored and get up to mischief 😈

We had these adorable spring lambs in the clinic! One little guy was a bit lame (no, I don’t mean she wasn’t cool 😎) and she brought his friend long for company 🐑🐑
