๐ Firework Season Is Coming โ Start Preparing Your Pets Now! ๐
Firework season is just around the corner, and for many pets, this can be a stressful time. The good news? Thereโs plenty you can do now to help your furry friends feel safer and calmer when the bangs and flashes begin.
Top Tips to Start Today:
Create a Safe Space:
Set up a cosy den or quiet area where your pet can retreat. Start encouraging them to use it now, so it feels familiar and safe when fireworks start.
Sound Training:
Gradually introduce your pet to firework noises using sound recordings at a low volume, paired with treats and praise. This helps them get used to the sounds in a positive way.
Routine Matters:
Stick to regular feeding and walking times. Walk dogs before dark to avoid fireworks, and keep cats indoors at night during the season.
Check Your Home:
Make sure doors, windows, and cat flaps are secure to prevent pets from running away if startled.
Ask for Help Early:
