Meet the wonderful Julie - next up in our Trusted Partner introductions 💚

Julie's incredible depth of equestrian knowledge and passion for horse welfare makes her an invaluable part of our extended network.

With over 35 years of experience working with and owning horses, Julie has built an impressive career rooted in grooming, training, and horsemanship. Beginning as an event rider and groom, Julie competed herself up to 2 and Intermediate eventing*, while also grooming at prestigious top-level events, including Badminton Horse Trials.

Throughout her career, Julie has worked alongside top event riders, gaining a wealth of knowledge through continuous training and hands-on experience. Her journey later led her to a local dressage yard with a double Olympic rider, where her passion for dressage truly flourished. Julie went on to produce her own horse and compete up to Inter I level, riding and learning from some exceptional horses along the way.

A lifelong learner, Julie believes there is always something to gain from watching and learning from others - a philosophy that remains at the heart of her training approach today.

Her extensive experience as a groom at major competitions has given her an exceptional understanding of equine movement, welfare, and biomechanics, helping shape her thoughtful and horse-centred teaching style.

Having worked alongside seven Olympians, Julie brings an extraordinary level of experience, insight, and dedication to everything she does - and we’re proud to have her as a trusted partner 💚

Introducing our expert partner - Jenny James - JJ Eventing 💚

Jenny James has been running Winston Hall Livery for over 10 years. Jenny has experience in backing all types of horses, from thoroughbreds to all-rounders to professional showjumpers and eventers. She also has experience in producing and riding more complex horses.

Jenny has produced her own horses from youngsters, and ridden some up to BE Intermediate level, whilst also competing other owners' horses through the grassroots levels.

Jenny gets joy and is fully invested in people’s journeys with their horses and ponies, whether it be in finding their beloved four-legged friend a new best mate, or to help them build confidence and a partnership with new or tricky horses. Jenny also works closely with vets, physios, farriers, trainers during rehabilitation to get the combination of horse and rider back on track.

Jenny always sees the best in any horse or pony and never gives up on them. She truly believes, with time, patience & determination, that in finding the buttons that make a horse tick, and having the ability to change riding style and approach, the horse will respond in kind.
