I encourage everyone to watch this video who has a dog (most of my followers!) . It’s utterly heartbreaking what happened to these 2 innocent XL bully’s. Really puts in perspective how dangerous animals can be in the wrong hands. Off lead walks should be earnt and only if your dog has bulletproof recall. 2 almost 3 lives were lost because of a humans negligence and it’s frankly unacceptable.💔

Wishing all my lovely 4 legged bff’s, their hoomans, and friends a very merry Christmas. I’ve been utterly spoiled this year and words don’t quite translate to how much gratitude I have. Even spoiling my own fur babies who mean the absolute world to me🐱. Thankyou for all the support over the last year and seeing all your beautiful faces everyday is more than I could ever ask for (I’m enjoying my time off though!😉) see you all in the new year 💗🍾

Today I did the bravest thing. I chose to take your pain myself, sometimes love just isn’t enough💔 after an all you can eat buffet from the treat cupboard I gave you the greatest gift… peace. Now 2 of my beautiful babies together now only 3 months apart 🌈 💔Thankyou to everyone who knew and was understanding. I only took the afternoon off today and put on a brave face for the morning. Roll on Christmas break I’ll be glad to see this year out 😢 Bella💗

To all my fellow dog walkers and clients who may be out walking their dog (when I’m not!) I’m sure you’ve all heard by now about dear Christine, who’s been missing for over a week now. She’s an avid walker who could have traveled far on foot! She’s very vulnerable and a high chance she lost her bearings and couldn’t remember how to get home. She lives round the corner from me but there has been sightings towards nacton and levington way! Her car has been located now but irrelevant as is been missing for months. Keep your eyes peeled, check cctv, ring bells etc… she hasn’t been abducted by aliens so she MUST be somewhere!! 😢

Being self employed often means I don’t take much time off during the year, as I have had no time for a holiday this year myself as I was busy looking after all your lovely lot, I am having some time off over Christmas. my last working day will be the 19th December and back on the 5th January. It’s been such an incredibly busy year, which I am so grateful for, but to be honest… I’m knackered!!!! So I’m going to take the time to be with my own pets, my family, and most importantly… lots of wine!!!!!🍷

We wanted to make our clients aware we’ve had a case of seasonal canine illness
(SCI)🌳

For those who aren’t familiar with SCI, it is rare condition, characterised by rapid onset vomiting, diarrhoea and lethargy. Signs usually start within 24-48 hours of being walked in a woodland area. With prompt treatment most dogs recover but without supportive care dogs can rapidly become dehydrated which in severe cases may be life threatening. Cases are seen most commonly through the autumn months. Puppies and older dogs are often more severely affected. Whilst not every woodland area in the UK is affected, unfortunately Rendlesham and Tunstall Forests are known hotspots. Frustratingly the definitive cause of SCI is unknown, but research suggests harvest mites may play a role.

To the naked eye harvest mites look like very tiny orange dots. They are most often
found right up between your dog’s toes and in a small pocket in their ear flap. Whilst not every dog who has harvest mites will get SCI we recommend checking your dog regularly for harvest mites, especially if walking in woodland areas. Harvest mites may be prevented/treated with a Fipronil spray. If you would like further information on this please call your local branch for further advice.
However it’s important to note, whilst harvest mites may be involved the research is inconclusive, so during the autumn months we would still advise owners exercise caution when considering walking in Rendlesham or Tunstall forests, especially if your dog is under a year old, elderly, or suffering with other health issues. If possible, it is recommended to avoid the forests altogether until after the first frost.
