Baby Bosc Monitor attack! love this little one and feeding is great fun. While in general we try to remain distant and hands off the animals I try to install good important habits with Baby Monitor lizards like this. Most importantly feeding reactions around the cage. First is that the doors opening don't automatically mean food.
As these are wide opening doors I'll deliberately go into this tank for maintenance and no feeding, even if just spread the substrate, fill the water bowl. Sometimes we'll play with the spray bottle. Hopefully teaching this little dude to behave well around the tank and not automatically react to hands.
