☀️🐾 **LEGACY DOG TRAINING — SUMMER WORKSHOP PROGRAMME 2026** 🐾☀️
Summer training is here! We’ve put together an action-packed programme of workshops designed to keep you and your dog learning, progressing and, most importantly, having FUN together.
From heelwork and gundog training to scentwork, agility, socialisation and our famous Legacy Summer Scurry — there’s something for everyone!
**All workshops are £30 per dog with limited spaces available.**

📅 **SATURDAY 15TH AUGUST**
🐕 **9:00AM — RALLY HEELWORK WORKSHOP**
Heelwork doesn’t have to be boring!
Using the training discipline of Rally, we’ll create fun heelwork courses incorporating different turns, changes of pace, positions and exercises to help build your dog’s engagement and focus around distractions.
A brilliant workshop for anyone wanting to improve loose-lead walking and heelwork while making training much more enjoyable for both dog and handler.

A second opportunity to join our Rally-inspired heelwork workshop!
We’ll be working through fun courses and challenges designed to improve engagement, handler focus, positioning and teamwork.

📅 **SUNDAY 16TH AUGUST**
🏅 **12:00PM — LEGACY K9 SPORTS DAY**
Ready, set… GO! 🏃♀️🐕
Our K9 Sports Day is all about having an incredible afternoon with your dog while putting your teamwork to the test!
Expect fun races, challenges, games and plenty of friendly competition as you work together to collect points throughout the afternoon.
It’s also a fantastic opportunity for dogs to experience a fun social environment around other dogs and people.
But there can only be ONE winner…

📅 **SATURDAY 29TH AUGUST**
🦆 **11:00AM — GUNDOG WORKSHOP: PART TWO**
Following on from the incredible success of our last workshop, we’re back for Part Two!
We’ll continue developing some of the key foundations of gundog training, working through:
• Recall
• Stop whistle
• Hunt whistle
• Steadiness and self-control
• Working around distractions
• And the return of the famous **Legacy Bolting Rabbit!** 🐇
A fun, practical workshop designed to develop control, communication and confidence while bringing out those natural gundog instincts.
🔎 **1:30PM — SCENTWORK: THE LEGACY MURDER MYSTERY**
There’s been a murder at Legacy… and we need your dog to help us solve it. 🔎🐕
This immersive scentwork workshop will teach or refresh the foundations of a clear scent indication before putting your new skills to the test.
We’ll progress through **pot searches, vehicle searches and body searches**, teaching your dog how to systematically locate and indicate on a target scent.
Then comes the ultimate challenge…
Can your team follow the evidence, find the hidden scent and **solve the Legacy Scentwork Murder Mystery?** 🕵️♀️

📅 **SUNDAY 30TH AUGUST**
🐾 **9:00AM — SOCIALISATION & NEUTRALITY WORKSHOP**
Socialisation isn't about your dog meeting every dog they see — it's about teaching them how to feel calm and confident in their presence.
This workshop is designed to give handlers confidence when out and about with their dogs.
We’ll work safely around other dogs in closer proximity, helping dogs learn to remain calm, focused and engaged with their handler rather than becoming overwhelmed, overexcited or distracted.
Perfect for building confidence and creating calmer everyday walks.
🏃 **11:30AM — INTRODUCTION TO AGILITY**
Come and discover the world of dog agility!
This fun introductory workshop will give you and your dog the opportunity to try some of the foundations of agility in a relaxed and supportive environment.
We’ll introduce dogs to different pieces of equipment and work on confidence, body awareness, handler communication and basic handling skills.
There’s no pressure and no previous agility experience required — just come ready to have fun, learn something new and see what your dog can do!

📅 **SATURDAY 5TH SEPTEMBER**
🏆 **9:30AM — THE FAMOUS LEGACY SUMMER SCURRY**
IT'S BACK! ☀️🐕🏆
One of our favourite events of the summer — the **Legacy Summer Scurry!**
Put your dog’s speed, retrieving ability, hunting skills and teamwork to the test across a series of fun scurry challenges.
Whether you have a seasoned gundog or simply a dog who LOVES retrieving, this is all about having a go, enjoying your dog and embracing a little friendly competition.
Scores will be counted…
The leaderboard will be watched…
And someone will be crowned our **2026 Legacy Summer Scurry Champion!** 🏆
