Our commitment to sustainability spans both our business and that of our customers. It is an important factor when considering future options and opportunities, and a principle that is applied throughout our organisation.

Sustainability covers a vast range of areas within poultry production, and in certain areas we believe we can and should play a significant role.

By supporting better bird performance, reducing FCR and increasing DLWG, we can help ensure every section of the supply pyramid is healthy and performing to its genetic potential. This helps to reduce wastage, minimise potential pollutants and support farms in achieving their sustainability goals.

With disease in general mainly under control with vaccines for our layer birds (aside from the serious impact of Avian Influenza), we are now focussed on getting hens to have an extended and more profitable egg production period.

Today, our focus is on working with clients to help birds produce more eggs of the right size and quality for longer.

Our nationwide practice network means our vets are based throughout the UK and Ireland, close enough to work alongside farms on site, wherever they are!

Having vets on the ground means our clients benefit from a wealth of local knowledge, backed by the experience of the wider team that individuals can draw on when required.

A large veterinary team mean continuity of care. For example, during Avian Influenza outbreaks, we divide our regional teams in two. One team supports farms within AI restriction zones, while the other continues to look after farms outside the restriction zones.
