What to do with unused medications? 💊

Please bring back any unused medications for safe disposal at your Vet!

This is important because improperly stored or discarded medicines can contribute to antibiotic resistance, one of the biggest public health threats worldwide. When antibiotics are kept, shared, or used later without proper medical advice, they may be taken unnecessarily or incorrectly, allowing bacteria to adapt and become resistant to treatment. Safe disposal also helps prevent accidental use, misuse, and environmental contamination, as medicines thrown in household waste or flushed away can enter water systems and affect wildlife.

Returning unused medications helps protect both individual health and the wider community.
