Getting a call from the couriers when you're in the middle of a HVS 5a multipitch saying they can't find the package for delivery gave me the opportunity to come check out glasgow

Cracking veggie food and a Scottish institution, their new restaurant in Glasgow, not only looks great, is also the best place in Glasgow to get our Lions Mane mushrooms!

Summer update from the backyard garden

Everything you see here is grown on composted spent mushroom substrate, the leftover blocks from the farm, given a second life.

I won't be the only person in hospitality with an ambiguously healthy relationship with alcohol. When you're cooking, you often have zero appetite, so you end up replacing food with booze. And as a chronic insomniac, I'd use it to help me sleep, drinking every day, not to a problematic level, just a consistent one. So I decided to quit for a couple of weeks. The hardest part, if you've done the same, is filling the boredom that comes with it. So I moved two tons of soil.

There are worse ways to spend a day at work.

Gordon Castle has an incredible market garden which I have the privilege of using as my supermarket this week. Every dish creation this week we get to center around whats fresh in the garden.

Still early days for a lot of items but we're certainly coming l out of the hungry gap
