Practice Manager Pauline & Senior Nurse Julie spent the afternoon at Queens Manor Care Home last week & were delighted to receive donations from their 'Knitting Natterers'! The lovely residents had crafted us beautiful blankets to keep your pets cosy when they're in for procedures.

Staff dog Piper was more than happy to test them out!

We’re looking for an enthusiastic RVN to join us on a full or part-time basis. You’ll be part of a supportive & friendly team of 4 vets, 3 RVNs & 2 SVNs to help us provide the highest standard of care for our patients. We are a 100% small animal practice in the West End of Edinburgh with a lovely client base & with easy access to the amenities of the city, lovely shops, cafes & the surrounding countryside. We’re proud to be a nurse-training Practice with a great reputation in the area & have been established for over 25 years.

About us

We are a hard-working, passionate team who have a strong focus on well-being, many of our team members have been with us for years. We pride ourselves in being friendly & approachable & looking out for each other is crucial! We also enjoy regular social outings together & ensure that a work-life balance is maintained.

The role

We are looking for someone to help with our surgical caseload, look after our inpatients & participate in the nurse consultation rota. We have digital radiography, including dental, flexible endoscopy, laboratory services, an in-house physiotherapy service with its own purpose-built hydrotherapy suite & so much more. The position is for 30 to 40 hours over 3 or 4 days, we are flexible! Working 1 in 4 Saturday mornings, there is no out of hours required.

Physio sessions are available on Mondays, Tuesdays & Saturdays here at Oak Tree Vet Centre 🌳

If you think your pet could benefit from Physiotherapy here with Jenny, please get in touch with us or contact your vet for a referral. Referral forms are available on our website!

We also offer free of charge 'discovery sessions' for your pet to visit Jenny & the Physio department before their initial assessment.
