Yesterday when we opened the girl guinea pig hutch we were met with a very pleasant surprise…..
Everybody meet Baby Buttercream! 🥰

Yesterday morning when we opened the girl guinea pig hutch we had a very little grey and cream guinea pig looking at us! She was already up and walking. She has been born just in time for our Easter alpaca walk. If you are coming to Happyard this weekend for camping or an alpaca walk you may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of Baby Buttercream wondering around with her mummy Buttercup.

Our 2025 weanlings have started their halter training. We have been putting their little halters on in the morning, and let them wear them all day in their paddock to begin to get used to their halters. All of our weaklings have been doing very well so far.

This weekend, alpaca walks are from just £24.00 for an alpaca with up to 2 people. We still have multiple alpacas available for this Saturday and Sunday at 1.30pm. Alpaca walks include a meet and greet with our cria (baby alpacas), and refreshments after walking your alpaca.

Happyard

Happyard offer a whole range of fun experiences including riding lessons, be a farmer for a day, meet and care for an alpaca and more! We also run a relaxed campsite with basic amenities. We have a variety of friendly horses including our gentle giant ‘Reggie’ the Shire Horse.

We believe everyone (not just the privileged) should have the opportunity to spend time around animals, horses and alpaca in particular as they offer an amazing calming therapy. We are currently crowdfunding to expand our business to create a barn that will both house more animals (chinchillas, goats, guinea pigs and more!) and provide a function room especially adapted for learning.
