Welcome to ‘Breeze’ who has just arrived from Chatburn, out in the day. Thanks Sevim and David for rescuing. Had supportive subcutaneous fluids, now sampling his S’mores board of restorative meat and biscuits…
Paws crossed for him, we’ve lost 2 this week already which came in massively dehydrated.

Who remembers our little warrior Marcella? The only one of four surviving hoglets that came in from Slaidburn? Well here she is going back home tonight to start her life in the wild with her big girl pants on 😍
She has climbed a massive mountain to get to this stage… a real team effort from everyone at Fuzzy Peg Fostering run free little lady x

Update on Marcella, she’s now strong enough to feed and is enjoying her early breakfast. Our little warrior is holding her own so far… still very delicate, sleeping now in her warm incubator after toileting, 🦔💕

3 of 4 babies that came in last night just after 9… the 4th was already dead and had lost its face (not very nice to see 😢)
One of the 3 was quite unresponsive, one had 2 large wounds ? Pecks? So had pain relief and wound care etc... One was responsive and no wound.
All were Freezing and covered in fly strike. All given s/c fluids as not responsive enough to feed.
Unresponsive one died between midnight and 2, and one with wounds died between 2:30 and 7. So one left, called her Marcella (little warrior). She’s had some milk this morning and a wee for me and has warmed up… paws crossed…. A very delicate next few hours ahead… 🦔❤️
