✂️ Cora’s “Hair Off the Dog” Transformation! ✂️
Meet the gorgeous Cora the spaniel, who visited us the other week for her regular glam session! 💖

Because Cora is such a good girl and keeps up with her regular appointments, she came in completely knot-free! That means zero nasty tangles to brush out, making her groom a total breeze. Well... mostly a breeze. 😉

Like a true spaniel, Cora has some very strong opinions about her legs being touched. The second the trimmers come out, she goes straight into full "Marching Mode"! 🚶‍♀️💨 Left, right, left, right—you’ve gotta love that spaniel attitude!

Cora’s parents absolutely adore her signature look, so we kept her gorgeous long tail, fluffy ears, and that iconic rockstar topknot. We gave them a thorough de-shed, a good brush, and a neat little tidy-up trim to keep her looking like royalty. ✨

Since she visited us right in the middle of the heatwave, we started her appointment off in luxury—chilling on a cooling mat until the fans got the groom room nice and frosty. 🧊🌬️

Cora is honestly the sweetest girl. Once the hard work was done, she demanded her payment in full: a good old-fashioned roll on her back and some well-deserved belly rubs! Then it was straight in the garden for a run around before heading home on Pearl 🚗 😂

🎂 HAPPY 4th BIRTHDAY, FREYA! 🎂

Meet the gorgeous Freya. It’s no secret that grooming isn't exactly at the top of her favorite things list—she is a super timid girl, so we always take our sweet time, offering plenty of reassurance and moving at her own pace.

But you know what they say... trust takes time, and we think we’ve officially cracked the code! Proof? The moment shes finished, she doesn't even hesitate. She sashays straight through the house, bypasses everyone, and reclaims her absolute favorite spot on the green leather sofa. Total diva behavior, and she honestly? We respect it. 👑💅

Meet Herbie the Shorkie, our absolute star guest at Mitton Hall Kennels! He arrived looking a bit like a lovable, overgrown mop who couldn’t quite see his own treats. 🐶🔎

But it turns out, underneath all that fluff, Herbie is a true gentleman and a secret yoga master. 🧘‍♂️✨ This clever boy was casually lifting his little leggies and armies on command like he was on a Parisian runway. If only every pup gave us this level of 5-star cooperation!

A few snips later, and BOOM—the dapper gentleman has entered the building (check him out rocking his fresh trim! 😎🎩 He's clean, he's sleek, and he’s ready to steal some hearts.

Thank you, Herbie, for making groom day an absolute breeze. Now, if you could just run a masterclass for the rest of our furry clients on how to sit still, that’ll be great! 🐾🎓

🐾 Rosie’s Holiday Drama Queen Era 🐾

Look who popped in for her regular pamper session! 💕

Sweet Rosie arrived feeling a little out of sorts this time, and after a brief investigation, the culprit was discovered… 🚨🧳 THE SUITCASES HAD APPEARED! 🧳🚨

As every dog knows, suitcases can only mean one thing: “My family are abandoning me forever and I shall surely starve.” 😱

Well… that’s Rosie’s version of events anyway.

The reality? She was about to enjoy a holiday of her own, being thoroughly spoiled rotten by family members while her humans were away. But why let the truth get in the way of a good guilt trip? Rosie was clearly planning to cash in on every extra treat, cuddle and snack available before departure! 🍖😂

Despite her worries, she was very well behaved for her groom and soon remembered that life wasn’t quite so terrible. After her pamper session, she made full use of Pearl, the Hair Off The Dog Transport Car™ for her chauffeured journey home, travelling in the style she quite frankly believes she deserves. 🚗👑

She also enjoyed a lovely pre-groom stroll around the garden, making the most of the warmer weather and our secure garden here at the home of Hair Off The Dog. ☀️🌿

As always, Rosie was an absolute delight to spend time with and we loved having her back in the salon.

I set off for a wonderful birthday weekend away to celebrate a massive milestone—half a century! 🎂🎈 While I might currently be feeling a little "delicate" from all the celebrations, duty called.
Swipe to see my weekend clients! I couldn't resist giving the gorgeous Saluki hounds, Honey and Lilly, a little tidy-up. They are absolute beauties, but as you can see from image 2. We really needed to evict those full-on Grinch feet! 🎄👣
They look a million times better now, and I survived grooming with a mild hangover. Cheers to 50! 🥂🐕✨

🐾The big girl milestone 🐾🐶🥰

"Excuse me, I ordered the luxury spa package, not a minor existential crisis over the bathtub." — Daisy, probably. 🐶👑

Daisy, the 18-week-old bundle of curls had her very first puppy groom last week! After a brief negotiation regarding the bath, she decided that being pampered is actually exactly what she deserves.

Because you only get your first haircut once, we saved a little lock of her gorgeous puppy fluff to go inside this adorable paw keychain keepsake for her humans! 🥺

A little bath, a fluff dry, a nail trim, and a hygiene tidy later, and she is officially ready to strut her stuff. Next time we’ll tackle a face tidy, but today was all about making friends with the blowdryer. Good job, little button! 🥰

Look at this gorgeous spaniel cross, Alfie! 😍

He visited us for a full glow-up and he was an absolute superstar on the table. That little peek of tongue in his 'before' photo completely melted our hearts! 👅❤️

Alfie was enjoying a lstay at the beautiful Mitton Hall, and we think he definitely approved of all the extra pampering and attention he got. He left us looking super smart, feeling lighter, and rocking a dapper new bandana! 👔✨

He really was a total pleasure to groom! 🐕💨

We had the absolute pleasure of grooming the loveliest duo the other week—Nico the black Spaniel and Ruby the tan Spaniel!

Not only were they both total angels on the table, but Nico decided he was ready for a complete lifestyle change.

🐾 Fresh Trims & Flashy Bandanas 🐾

We had the absolute pleasure of hosting two gorgeous, sweet girls in the salon today: Cadi the spaniel and Lola the Labrador.

Cadi may be very elderly, but she must’ve found the fountain of youth in our shampoo bottle because she had a serious spring in her step today! She was a little overdue for her spa day, so we gave her a nice, short summer trim. Looking like a brand-new puppy, Cadi! 😍💇‍♀️

Lola left the salon a whole load lighter after a massive shampoo and de-shed session. Pretty sure we brushed out enough hair to create a whole second Labrador, but Lola is rocking her sleek new look (and that fabulous checkered bandana)! 🐕✨

☀️ Heatwave Warning! (We're Being Optimistic Here) 🤞
The weather forecast might be lying to us, but we are officially, optimistically awaiting an incoming heatwave! Don't let your pups get caught out in their winter coats.

We’ve had a couple of half-term cancellations for next week, so book your doggos in for their summer cuts and de-sheds now before the salon gets fully booked!
