Understanding home needed for Bartie 💛🐱🏡

Bartie has been in our care for 125 days, and is hoping his forever home isn't too far away.

When he first entered our cattery, Bartie was extremely nervous and worried by humans and was clear he struggled with social settings. Fast forward to now and although he has grown in confidence and has settled in well with us, he is still not quite ready for a traditional domestic lifestyle just yet.

This handsome chap is looking for a very special home where he can enjoy life on his own terms, with no pressure to be social until he’s ready. Bartie would thrive in a home that can offer him a separate space to live initially, such as a barn, stables, outbuilding or even quiet garden room.

Our Stroud charity shop on Butterrow Hill is joining the Stroud Yard Trail today, with rails of clothing, bric-a-brac and selected furniture to browse outside, plus plenty more treasures waiting for you inside!

🐾 Rehoming Update: Millie 🐾

Some updates really do remind us why we do what we do. 💛

When Millie first came into our care, she was struggling with a luxating patella, which caused her kneecap to repeatedly slip out of place. Even something as simple as a walk or a case of the zoomies could be difficult for her.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters, Millie was able to undergo the corrective surgery she desperately needed. What followed was months of recovery, crate rest and hydrotherapy – but just look at her now! 🥹

Eight months later, Millie is tearing through the forest, chasing sea foam along the beach and making the absolute most of her new lease of life. 🌊🐶

Her family told us: “Saying it’s given her a new lease of life would be an understatement!”

From struggling to walk comfortably to enjoying all the adventures a dog could wish for, we couldn’t be happier for our gorgeous Millie. 💛

To everyone who donated towards Millie’s surgery and helped make this possible, thank you. This is the difference your support can make. 🐾
