Cam & Dursley Dog Walking & Pet Sitting Professional dog walker in Cam & Dursley Roll forward two years, Kate is back doing what she loves and has a fantastic team to support dogs in all forms.

Cam and Dursley Dog Training began in 2008 after the owner, Kate, graduated from University after studying Animal Behaviour. Realising a niche was missing in the area, the business offered home boarding, pet sitting and dog walking as one of the original businesses in the UK offering these services. As the business developed, Kate increased her knowledge to be able to offer microchipping, dog groo

ming and nutritional advice, alongside completing a Dog Training course with The Association of Pet Dog Trainers, whose ethos is in reward based training. Having worked and shadowed alongside a number of other trainers who specialise in reactivity and rescue dogs, Kate rescued a dog from Ireland who helped her develop further knowledge in reward based dog training. Kate took a two year break from the business and worked for the RSPCA, as their Welfare Team Leader for a new rescue centre. This further strengthened a desire to help dogs in need and further courses were completed to gain a better understanding of behaviour and training.

🌈 UPDATE 11/07 - Sadly found 🌈

🐶 Scooby is elderly and deaf, he escaped from his garden in the Cam Everlands area of Dursley at around 10:30pm yesterday (Wednesday). He is wearing a collar and is microchipped. We are very worried about him, given his age and in this heat. Please call us on 01453 766321 or his Mum on 07928 790229 asap with any sightings 🐾

Well what a shock this week has been. First week at the new job and I have to say I’ve found it really hard. But, I have the best people who let me slip back into my super comfy jeans (that is all black, plus my dog walking bag) and take Casper out for a jolly and what a lovely walk we had. You can take the dog lover to the city but the dog lover will always return to the countryside ❤️

It’s heating up my furry friends!

Next week the heat is set to increase, I will be out walking earlier with your dogs to avoid the sun. We will aim for lots and lots of shade and plenty of water and the length of walks will be subject to the temperature.

It’s so difficult when it’s hot, trying to balance the timings of walks with meeting the dog’s needs, but I would rather we went out earlier and for shorter periods than run the risk of overheating.

It’s time to say goodbye.
I started my dog walking business back in 2008. It’s been an incredible few years and oh the stories I can tell. And the love I have for dogs, cats, small furries, rescuing wildlife and supporting owners will remain the same.
At the end of the month I am closing for business having secured a full time salaried role.
Thank you to everyone who has allowed me to take care of your pets and supported me in what has been a fantastic (and emotional) job. If I got paid in love alone I would be a millionaire.

On to the next chapter. But I will still want to steal your dog for a walk. Make sure you look after The Beagles they still need to emotionally support some dogs.

Dog walking availability (don’t worry, I don’t usually walk this many dogs without a helper!). I have some availability for dogs to join our merry little gang. I ask;
🐶 That dogs are sociable and old enough to attend group walks for up to an hour
🐶 Dogs are neutured
🐶 Owners commit to a 2 walk a week minimum so they can be integrated and get to know the other dogs well enough that they settle into a routine an I get to know them.
