So you got a big dog, but soon realise they’re scared of the world, a flight risk so you can’t let them off lead & scared of there own shadow to them walking beside you is like playing hopscotch

Both these dogs were rehomed as adolescent dogs, both my clients saught training as soon as they realised they wanted more and couldn’t walk there dogs

Just 3 weeks into owning they’re GSD who had already been to numerous homes, he then came to me for 3 weeks, that is dedication of owners wanting to spend the rest of there life with there chosen dog who is now calm and confident instead of skittish & a flight risk

The cane corso is now they calmest biggest dog you ever did see, all thanks to her owners dedication

My high prey driven dogs thinking I’ve lost the plot teaching a sheep to come closer to me

But in actual fact we were in a public park and they suddenly saw the sheep, Stryker dropped her ball and they both came back to me

So I went to get the ball, and the sheep came over - probably because it’s used to seeing people come up to the fence to see or feed it - so the sheep’s already been trained to be curious

My dogs know that when they see livestock to stop what they’re doing and auto come back to me - that’s because I decided when they were young to teach them - so it’s now second nature for them to come back to me

They would definitely attack sheep if they weren’t taught what to do in presence of sheep, but even if your dog has the intent to attack or chase and has done - they can still be taught this.

Luckily for my dogs I’m not branching out to teaching different animals to come to me - but they can coexist nearby other animals without me having them strain frothing on the lead or worried they will escape and chase & it can be done and achieved for your dog too

A split second & there gone or a split second & they come back!

Even high drive animal chasers or dare I say it killers can come back when taught what to do in that second

Yes you can enjoy the freedom & safety dog walks have to offer when you have a reliable recall - want your dog to come back as soon as you say ONE word

Your thinking if only it was as easy as “there we are then”

But it can be when you know how, yes I too was once hypervigilant driving 10 miles away from everywhere so I didn’t have to see people & there dogs - only to panic if I saw trees rustling in the distance

& yes if my dog reacted I spiralled for days, constantly blaming others for being there, if only the didn’t allow there dog to do that, thing is you can’t control others, but you can teach your dog what to do instead so you can protect there space

I will forever protect dogs in my cares space so they don’t have to, a bonus of it is, when they are trained they don’t care about reacting anymore & you fee calm, content and know what to do in any situation & go on about your day - like a walk in the park
