Oink oink! 🐷 Our new vet Lucy made some new friends recently who had been struggling to scratch that itch! Lucy found lice which were the source of the problem and were promptly treated. Thankfully these pigs are feeling much better already!

Great to see so many friendly faces at the North Somerset Show today! The weather held out and our cakes were all finished off by the end of the day, so a successful show all round! 🍰⛅

Avian Influenza housing restrictions have been lifted from today (9 April 2026) meaning that poultry and captive birds can go outside unless they’re in a Protection or Captive Bird Monitoring (Controlled) Zone. This comes as latest scientific evidence shows that the risk of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) in wild birds and poultry has decreased.

Poultry keepers should continue following to follow Animal and Plant Health Agency guidance on biosecurity.

If you have any concerns about the health and welfare of your flock, contact your vet.
