While it's estimated that over 90% of herds have been exposed to BVD, only 15-30% of cattle farms have engaged with testing and control programmes in the UK.
🐮 Do you know your status?
🐮 Did you know you can get government funding to find out?

BVD is a complicated disease that results in fertility issues, abortions and reduced productivity, alongside immunosuppression and susceptibility to other diseases. However, it can go undetected before problems arise…
🐮 Want to know more?

Join us and Becca from Boehringer on a Farm Walk next week, where we’ll be discussing all things BVD. From testing to control, as well as how to apply for funding to test.

🐮 Tuesday 26th August
🐮 11am on farm

Food and drink will be provided (as always!) Please RSVP to receive location details 🐮

Axe Valley Large Animal Vets

On the road from Mendip to Moor... We are a local, independently owned and dedicated large animal practice serving farms, smallholders and horse owners in the community. Everyone who works at our practice lives and breathes within the local community and has its best interests at heart. Our main aim as a veterinary practice is to provide a holistic and all encompassing approach to proactive, preventative large animal medicine that will help to improve animal health and welfare, production and efficiency. This in turn will boost production and subsequently improve farm profits.
