🎃 HAPPY HOWL-OWEEN 🎃
We hope all our patients and clients have a fang-tastic weekend!
Here are some tips to keep your pet safe over the spooky weekend.
🕸 Keep sweet treats out of your pets reach. Sweets and chocolate are toxic to pets.
🦇 Whilst we like to dress up in costumes most pets do not. Don't dress up your pet as it can cause unnecessary stress and be uncomfortable for them - they are cute enough as they are!
🎃 Move candle-lit pumpkins away from pets to prevent any curious pets from burning themselves. Dispose of pumpkins appropriately after use. Mouldy pumpkin can be toxic to both our pets and wildlife.
🧙♀️ Hang halloween decorations out of your pets reach as they can be a choking hazard or if swallowed could cause a blockage.
🧛♂️ Walk your dog before it gets dark and the halloween festivities start. This way they are less likely to be unsettled or stressed by trick-or-treaters in costume or loud music.
🧟 Create a den/quiet safe space for your pet to hide in if you are having a party or if you have lots of trick-or-treaters knocking on the door. A quiet area will help keep them calm and feeling secure.
🕷 Leave treats for trick-or-treaters outside your front door so they can help themselves without disturbing your pets. Knocks on the door and unfamiliar people can make some pets feel anxious. Make sure your sweet tub has a lid on so other pets cannot access them!
