This weather really hits our industry hard.

Over the last few days, many of us in the dog industry have had to make the decision to cancel classes, workshops, walks, training sessions, daycare activities and events.

As small businesses, every cancellation has an impact. We lose income, spend hours rearranging schedules, and often absorb costs that can’t be recovered.

But dog welfare will always come first.

No class, walk, workshop or training session is worth putting a dog at risk. When temperatures soar, our responsibility is to keep dogs safe, even when it’s the harder business decision.

So today, I’d love to shine a light on the amazing small businesses who are also putting welfare first. If you know a dog trainer, walker, daycare, groomer, physio, hydrotherapist, pet sitter or any other pet professional who has been affected by the heat, tag them below and give them a follow.

Supporting small businesses costs nothing, but it can make a huge difference.

Let’s show some love to the people who spend every day caring for our dogs. ❤️🐾

Hi everyone ☀️🐶

Due to the extreme heat this week, I may need to move some dog grooming appointments to earlier in the day or into next week where possible.

Although I do have air conditioning, it’s struggling to cope after 1pm with the combination of the hairdryers running , mid day sun on the roof. 🫠
My priority is always keeping your dogs safe, comfortable, and stress-free during their groom.

I’ll be contacting affected customers directly to rearrange appointments if needed. Thank you all so much for your understanding and patience during this heatwave 💛

Please also remember to keep your pups cool, hydrated, and avoid walking them during the hottest parts of the day 🐾

I’m now away on my baby’s girl Juno’s holiday for a week.
I will be trying to not be on any devices and have some proper down time.x

Heads up if anyone wants the details of the lodge I’m staying in I’d happily share, it’s absolutely beautiful and I’m literally blown away by the stunning views.x

🫶🏽 Ozzy 💙

Bit of a sad post as Ozzy has moved to pastures New 🥺

His mum and dad have brought a fabulous new house in the countryside with a beautiful garden for Ozzy to enjoy. 

I will miss Ozzy, chatting to his lovely mum Debs and also his dad they have become friends more than just clients.x They have been with me though all the ups and downs, good times and sad.

Thank you for being the best support to my business but more importantly to me.x

Love you Ozzy, look forward to seeing some pictures of your beautiful new home.x

And thank you for my thoughtful card and flowers.x
