If you keep livestock - cattle, sheep, pigs, goats, deer - you must let us know where you are keeping them so we can locate them in a disease outbreak. This is to help us control disease spread.
If you are in England and you wish to move your animals to someone elseโs land or buildings away from your county parish holding (CPH), for example summer grazing or winter keep, you need to:
Apply for a temporary land association (TLA) if the land is within 10 miles of the main area you keep livestock.
Apply for a temporary county parish holding number (tCPH) if the land is over 10 miles from the main area you keep livestock.
These arrangements are time limited and must be renewed every year. This applies even if you are just moving animals locally to a friendโs plot of land or have an informal grazing agreement.
