🚫🐾 NOTICE TO ILLEGAL DOG BOARDERS - Please Stop Undercutting Dog Professionals and contact your council to obtain a LICENCE - do the right thing by the dogs you supposedly care for…🐾🚫

To anyone offering illegal dog care services… 🐶 please remember that this is not just “easy money” or a quick side gig whilst you do another job at home.. this is someone’s family you are caring for, so make sure it’s full time care as that’s what they deserve!

Recently we’ve seen many press articles regarding dogs crossing rainbow bridge whilst staying with illegal dog boarders who offer their services on a certain platform beginning with R and the like…. These websites don’t check licences but get away with it as they say the provider is responsible for obtaining a licence (95% are unlicenced on there and will even tell you they are but when questioned come clean or just ignore your requests)

Professional licenced dog carers put in huge commitment and time to be local Council licenced. This is to ensure we are totally Defra compliant, trained, insured, paperwork, client registrations/meetings, secure dog transport and primarily offering owners 1st class care to make sure their precious pets are safe, healthy, and happy in our home.

When people undercut and charge unsustainably low rates, it doesn’t just hurt established licenced boarders 🐾 it devalues the whole profession of pet care. Would you send your child to a none registered child minder or nursery who was offering lower rates just so you could save a few £???

It sets unrealistic expectations for pet owners, puts dogs at risk and makes it harder for licenced home boarders to cover their expenses, let alone earn a fair living for the 24/7 we work.

🪧 If you’re offering unlicenced care and would like help to get “legal” then we can signpost you to help
✅ If you’re a walker/groomer whos taken clients dogs home to board out of fear of losing clients and would like to revert back to your primary function then we can help with this and work with lots of local walkers to ensure best outcomes
👉 If you’re new to the industry, charge responsibly.
👉 If you’re a pet parent, please recognise the value of hiring a professional and licenced dog carer who is reliable, experienced, trained and insured brings to you and your furry friend - peace of mind is invaluable!
