We expect this to be the new fav!

New to the Dog Festival, the F&H Splash Pad will be OPEN for festival guests to enjoy!

Whether your dog is a seasoned water lover, a puddle-jumping professional, or simply curious about what fuss is about, the splash pad is the perfect place to cool off, play, and make some new pals!

With less than TWO WEEKS to go, the countdown is on and we're getting excited to welcome all the dogs and their humans for an incredible day supporting the animals in our own shelter.

Today’s Wellness Clinic provided close to 400 pets and their owners the opportunity to access affordable veterinary care and vaccines to keep them happy, healthy and at home.
Thank you to the remarkable team at Bright's Grove Animal Hospital, led by Dr Rodger & Dr Kaitlyn who provided such great veterinary care.
To the many volunteers who gave their time and skill set to help make this clinic so successful, we could not do it without ALL of you!
Special thanks to City of Sarnia and Shelley, the arena caretaker, who was absolutely phenomenal in helping us with everything!!
And of course, to our pet loving community, who showed up, waited patiently and were so kind to us throughout the day.
We heard so many stories of hardships and people being forced to choose between groceries, paying their bills or keeping their pets healthy and safe.
We absolutely love that we were able to provide this for you.

Looking for a loyal sidekick? ❤️

Silas is ready to find a home of his own! This sweet, smart boy loves being close to his people and would be happiest with someone who is home often.
Fully healed from surgery, Silas is doing great on three legs. He is house trained, rides well in the car, handles stairs with ease, and loves his daily walks and cuddle time.
Silas has done well around children ages 2 to 11 and is friendly when introduced in a positive setting. He would do best in a home without cats or other small animals and may prefer to be the only dog.
With consistency and positive reinforcement, Silas continues to make great progress. What he wants most is a best friend to spend his days with.
Could Silas be the perfect match for you? 🐾

Animal viewings are available daily from 11am-4pm at the shelter. If you would like to meet Silas, call the shelter or submit an adoption application online to arrange a meet and greet.

Tomorrow, our Community Wellness Clinic at Pat Stapleton Arena will be held from 9-2.
Entrance to the clinic will be on the Wellington Street side, at the big Zamboni door.
To assist in keeping lines to a “hopeful minimum” we will have 3 veterinarian stations and registration will be done while you’re in line.
We accept debit, visa, Mastercard or cash.
Please have dogs leashed (extended leashes locked in) and cats in crates.

We're looking for a few helping hands to assist with Dog Festival takedown on June 20th at The Fox and Hound Canine Retreat. Perfect for high school students needing volunteer hours or anyone who would like to help out.

💪 Expect some lifting, moving tables and equipment, and packing up supplies. It's a great workout while helping a great cause!

Today we'd like to give a very special shoutout to Gabby, owner of Clean Cut K-9- Dog & Cat Grooming for always coming to the rescue when our shelter dogs need a little extra grooming TLC. ✂️

Some of the dogs that come into our care are extremely scared, while others have never experienced proper grooming before. No matter the situation, Gabby takes the time, patience, and care to make each dog feel comfortable and safe while helping them look and feel their very best

Not all superheroes wear capes... some carry clippers. ❤️
Thank you, Gabby, for sharing your talent, kindness, and compassion with our shelter. We truly appreciate everything you do!

We're counting down to our 8th annual Dog Festival, where hundreds of dog lovers will come together to celebrate everything "dog" all while supporting the animals in our shelter!

Much to our dismay, Timmy the T-Rex 🦖 is still living rent free here at the shelter, so we've decided it's time for him to start earning his keep around the grounds!
We're working hard to raise Timmy's bail, and we need your help to get him out of here by the end of the month. 🦖
