OBITUARY
With saddened hearts we announce the passing of Marti Anne St. Jean on Friday, May 29, 2026, at the age of 78. Beloved wife of 39 years of the late Rheal St. Jean. Treasured sister and best friend of Jan and her husband Emmett Fowler, her dear brother Nick Wasylciw, and beloved Nephew and Niece-in-Law Rob and Lynn Desrochers.
Dear friend of Donna Spinks, Sheila Taylor, Jackie Moser, Pete Clarke, and many, many others.
Predeceased by her parents Alex and Mabel Morgan, brother James Morgan, and sister Evelyn Dye.
Marti lead her life with kindness, treating all equally with compassion and respect- a trait we will continue in her honour. Marti owned and operated Marti’s Pet Shop in the 1970’s and then P-King Kennels for 3 decades. Later she came out of retirement and started Woof ‘n Tails. Through her businesses she had the opportunity to care for and groom many four-legged friends over decades, and forged many friendships and long-term clients. A good card game of Euchre was always welcomed by both Marti and Rheal. She especially enjoyed playing cards with her sister, and may be the one to credit for introducing the game to her brother-in-law…. JACKS!
The family wishes to thank the EMS and VON that responded for Marti during her time of need. Your care and kindness are deeply appreciated.
Cremation has taken place.
On Saturday, June 6, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. all are invited to gather at the Point Lands Ashes Scattering Site, 99 Seaway Rd., Sarnia (just beyond the Marina), to place Marti’s and Rheal’s cremated ashes into the St. Clair River. All who knew and loved Marti are welcomed to come. We also encourage you to bring your furbabies with you- Marti would have loved that. Casual Attire is suggested and encouraged.
