Please help us welcome our newest Pet of the Week, which is a weekly feature that highlights our beloved patients!

Today we’re featuring Gizmo, who is a mixed breed dog that is 12 years old!

Gizmo’s favourite toy is his tug toy, and his favourite place to sleep is next to the window or in a sunny spot.

If Gizmo’s owner could buy him anything in the world, it would be some farm land as he enjoys going on escape runs and chasing tractors and ATV’s!

A great story about Gizmo is: “We didn’t realize he loved mousing until we took him to our family cottage in the woods, he was in full hunt mode and brought us a couple prizes.”

Please help us welcome our newest Pet of the Week, which is a weekly feature that highlights our beloved patients!

Today we’re featuring Penelope (named after Penelope Garcia from Criminal Minds), who is a White Domestic Shorthair Cat that is 10 years old, born on November 4th!

Penelope’s favourite toy is her tunnel, she loves running through it and playing peekaboo, and her favourite place to sleep is her owner’s computer chair.

If Penelope’s owner could buy her anything in the world, it would be cat wall shelves!

A great story about Penelope is: “When I was moving from Goose Bay to Gander, NL, I stayed in temporary housing while my house was being packed for the move. At one point I realized Penelope was missing. Searched everywhere, even started knocking on neighbours doors and searching outside (but she’s an indoor cat) I open the floor to ceiling cupboards and a hear a little mow ( the one with attitude that’s sounds like close the door, I’m sleeping) well, she got into the cupboard on the bottom shelf all the way at the back so you couldn’t see her. She is great at hiding!!”

Please help us welcome our newest Pet of the Week, which is a weekly feature that highlights our beloved patients!

Today we’re featuring Gizmo, who is a short haired cat that is 7 months old!

Gizmo’s favourite toy is his feather stick, and his favourite place to sleep is on the owner’s bed between their pillows or by their heads.

If Gizmo’s owner could buy him anything in the world, it would be a flying toy bird with feathers!

A great story about Gizmo is that: “He refuses to use the litter box (since the day we brought him home). We've tried different kinds of littler, but he prefers going outside with the dogs and behaves a lot like our golden retriever. He's recently found a new love for playing underneath the tent we had set up in our backyard from a recent "campout" our kiddos had.”

Please help us welcome our newest Pet of the Week, which is a weekly feature that highlights our beloved patients!

Today we’re featuring Tigger, who is a Grey Tabby Cat that is 3 years old!

Tigger’s favourite toys are springs and lives to play fetch with them. He also loves going for walks on the treadmill, and his favourite place to sleep is on the couch or on top of the fridge.

A great story about Tigger is: “He is a calm, curious, playful cat, always the first cat to accept any new cats we bring home! He loves to greet everyone at the door. He’s not an overly snuggly cat but loves to be everywhere we are. However, just recently when we had to put our 19 year old cat down he was the first to come lay with me on the couch and snuggle for a couple of days.”
