🚨 Air Quality Alert for Pet Owners 🚨
Smoke from the Nova Scotia wildfires is drifting across the bay and affecting our local air quality. Just like us, pets can experience irritation and health issues from smoky air.
🐾 Tips to keep your pets safe:
• Keep them indoors as much as possible with windows closed.
• Limit outdoor exercise until the air clears.
• Use air purifiers or fans indoors if available.
• Watch for signs of smoke irritation: coughing, wheezing, eye redness, nasal discharge, or unusual fatigue.
• Pets with heart or lung conditions, senior pets, and brachycephalic breeds (short-nosed dogs and cats) are especially at risk.
If you notice any breathing difficulties or worsening symptoms, please call us right away.
❤️ Our team is here to help keep your pets safe and comfortable.
Stay safe, everyone — and give your furry friends a little extra cuddle time indoors. 🐶🐱
