Meet Crumpet
Approximately 2–3 years old

Do you need a shadow?
Maybe a dog who wants to be close enough that she practically melts right into you every chance she gets?

Then you need to meet Crumpet.

Crumpet is quite simply one of the happiest girls around. She absolutely adores people and has so much love to give. If she could spend every minute beside her person, she probably would.

She is good with other dogs, but cats are not her thing, so she will need a cat-free home.

Crumpet isn’t a huge fan of being crated, but the good news is she has shown that she can be trusted to free roam when left home alone. She also walks nicely on leash and would be very happy joining her family for walks, adventures, or just hanging out at home.

She can be a little unsure of men at first, so she needs someone willing to give her slow, patient introductions. Once she realizes she is safe, she warms up and lets that sweet Crumpet personality shine through.

We honestly have no idea what breeds make up this adorable girl — but we do know she is most definitely a low rider, with short little legs and a whole lot of personality packed into them.

Crumpet is spayed, microchipped and up to date on her vaccines.

She has been waiting patiently for the right family to find her. Not just any family — her family. The people who will love having a little shadow following them from room to room, who won’t mind a dog leaning her whole body into them for affection, and who will finally show Crumpet that she doesn’t have to keep waiting anymore.

Maybe the reason she has been waiting this long is because she has been waiting for you. ❤️

We have an update, and thanks to donations, bottle donations and adoptions, that thermometer just keeps moving!

We are now at $11,795 toward our $35,000 goal, which means we have $23,205 to go.

When we first shared how scared we were about the financial position we were in, our community showed up. And you have continued to show up.

Every donation matters. Every bag of bottles matters. Every adoption not only means an animal has found their family, but also helps us continue caring for the animals still waiting for theirs.

Thank you to every single person who has donated, adopted, collected bottles, shared our posts or helped spread the word. We still have a long way to go, but $11,795 is a pretty incredible start.

The vet bills haven't gone away, and the animals already in our care still need us, so we're going to keep asking for your help.

School starts tomorrow!

That means you're staying home, starting routines again and settling in for the fall and winter.

THE PERFECT TIME FOR A PUPPY!

All puppies are up to date on shots (1 - 3, depending on age) dewormer, microchip and are eligible for a delayed spay/neuter for an adoption fee of $600 (plus a $200 refundable deposit.)

The puppies in our care are all raised in foster homes - so most are crate trained and well on their way to being potty trained, as well as know most of their basic manners!

💔 Miss Spur can’t figure out what she’s doing wrong… 💔

This sweet girl has already beaten all the odds. She fought through parvo, came out the other side stronger, and is now absolutely thriving — all she’s missing is a family to call her own. 🥹❤️

At around 3 months old, Spur has such a zest for life. She wakes up every day ready to love, play and enjoy whatever adventure comes her way.

Imagine coming home after a long day and being greeted by a full-body wiggle, a little tail going a mile a minute, and a puppy who acts like seeing you is the BEST thing that has ever happened to her. 🥰

That’s Spur.

Her tail is almost always moving, and more than anything, she just wants to make her people happy. ❤️

🐾 Crate trained
🐾 Working so hard on house training
🐾 Leash training is coming along nicely
🐾 Gets along wonderfully with dogs
🐾 Great with cats
🐾 But PEOPLE are definitely her favourite thing

Spur is such a beautifully well-rounded little girl. Want to go exploring? She’s in. Want to spend the evening curled up at home? She’s your girl for that too.

After everything she has survived, she deserves to finally know what it feels like to belong somewhere forever.

She has watched people meet her, love on her and walk away… and she’s still waiting with that same happy wagging tail, hoping maybe the next person will be her person. 💔

Maybe she isn’t doing anything wrong.

Maybe the right family just hasn’t seen her yet.
