From May 13-15, the Alberta Sheriffs are participating in the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance’s (CVSA) International Roadcheck during which CVSA-certified inspectors from the Sheriffs Highway Patrol will conduct initiatives to ensure commercial vehicle driver safety and compliance.

They’ll be supported by members from the Interdiction Patrol Team who will assist in inspecting commercial vehicles for contraband such as illicit drugs and weapons.

Since 1988, the CSVA’s 72-hour International Roadcheck event has resulted in more than 1.8 million roadside inspections.
