Shelter kitties love their new cat tree!!

For the week of May 5, 2025

This week we are featuring a handsome young cat named L.O. He is approximately a year old and is neutered. L.O. is a short hair buff tabby and white cat. He is a very friendly boy with people and seems interested in other cats but hasn't been fully tested at the shelter - he isn't aggressive but we have been told before he was fixed he had some scraps with others. If you plan to introduce L.O. to a household with other cats, a controlled and slow introduction is recommended.

We are looking to find a new home for Phoebe - a stunning long haired calico who is approximately 10 years old. She is spayed and came to us with her front paws declawed. Phoebe has a big personality and will make a lovely pet, but she will need to be the only cat in the home to live her happiest life. She enjoys spending time with people. To help with her weight, she will need to be on a low calorie food diet.

Our sincere thanks to the organizers of the PEC Repair Cafe that was hosted this past weekend.
They had 70+ people come through and at least 67 broken items that were brought in (lamps and toasters were the top repairs this year!) Attendees donated goods for the library community pantry and raised $350 cash for the Loyalist Humane Society! Thank you!

This week we are featuring Round Robin Rosie - a sweet girl who we estimate is around 7 years old. She is spayed and has black and white short hair fur. Round Robin Rosie would most likely be happiest in a quiet home with a single owner - she is shy at first but has shown to bond to a person she trusts.

FOUND: male short hair tabby found near Hwy 62 and Mountain View. He was laying on the side of the highway but thankfully has no injuries. Not neutered or chipped.
