“Community Veterinary Outreach (CVO) is a registered charity that aims to improve the health of homeless individuals and their pets through a “one health” model of care. By offering human health services and health education alongside preventative veterinary care, CVO seeks to improve access to veterinary and human health resources for an at-risk population, and leverage the human-animal bond to increase human health resource uptake.

Although we provide pro-bono veterinary care, we are not solely an animal welfare organization. Our mandate is to improve the health and welfare of the client by providing health services and community connections that matter to them.”

GVC is proud to introduce...

✨Bow Ties for Blaze!✨ 🎀🐶

Our fabulous technician Rachel has been hard at work this Spring, hand-crafting adorable pet bow ties! She's generously donating both her time and fabric—sourced (nearly) entirely from Canadian and local suppliers.

All proceeds from these handmade bows will go to the Blaze Memorial Fund, which supports pets in need through our clinic.

Our amazing clients have already shown a lot of interest in-clinic, and now we’re excited to officially share this on our social media!

Due to our annual inventory on Monday, March 31st, there will be a slight delay to client special orders. To be safe, make sure all food and medication orders are placed by the morning of Thursday, March 27th. Orders received after that time will arrive mid-next week. This International Women’s Day, GVC wants to give a HUGE shootout to the incredible women helping shape veterinary medicine. Did you know that currenly 60-80%+ of veterinarians are women depending on the area? The numbers are only expected to grow as women currently hold the majority of veterinary school seats.

Let’s continue to support and uplift the women who are paving the way for the next generation of veterinary professionals. Together, we can break barriers and ensure a future where everyone has the opportunity to make an impact in this field.👩‍🦳👩‍🦰🧕💜
