Dr. Peter Firth has felt a natural connection with animals since he was very young. He spent many childhood summers working on his uncle’s dairy farm, where he enjoyed the company of all sorts of creatures. As Dr. Firth got older, his passion never wavered—for him, a career in Veterinary Medicine was the only choice that felt right. Born in western Canada, Dr. Firth moved to South America as a chi

ld before returning to the London, Ontario area. He attended the University of Guelph to receive his Veterinary Education, then settled back in London and has been here ever since. Dr. Firth purchased Firth Veterinary Hospital before even graduating from Veterinary School, and has happily served the Pets and Pet Owners of London since 1973. Dr. Firth’s favourite part of his job is the puzzle-solving portion—he’s passionate about putting the pieces together in order to arrive at a solution. He’s also fond of implementing new technologies, like digital radiology, laser therapy and unique techniques for Dog Training, into the healthcare resources here at FVH. He also enjoys working with dominant canines and helping transform their behavior.

🐱 Meet Beanie — Your Future Snuggle Buddy! 💕
Say hello to Beanie (Beans for short), a 6-year-old spayed Domestic Shorthair who’s ready to find her forever home! 🏡✨
This sweet girl has overcome so much. She came to us when her previous owner, who had just lost her husband, could no longer care for her. When Beanie arrived, she was in rough shape — constipated, under the weather, and needing a feeding tube plus lots of supportive care.
💖 With time, love, and gentle nursing, Beanie made a purrfect recovery! Now she’s showing off her true self — affectionate, cuddly, and full of love. She adores people, loves cozy naps, and will happily fill your home with warmth and purrs.
🐾 Beanie would do best as an only cat (she likes being queen of the castle 👑), but she has lived peacefully with a calm dog before.
🍽️ She’s on a metabolic diet to help her lose a few pounds and should stay on hairball control or gastrointestinal-friendly food to keep her tummy happy and her bowels regular.
🩺 Her bloodwork and vaccines are all up to date — she’s healthy, happy, and ready to go home!
Even though her treatments and medications cost several thousand dollars, we’re simply looking for a loving home and would greatly appreciate a small donation to Farley Foundation or Maggie’s Fund in order to help support other pets in need. ❤️
