We will be closed on Saturday May 16, Sunday May 17 and Monday May 18 for the Victoria Day holiday.

If you need any refills on medications or food for the holiday please have your orders placed by Monday May 11th to ensure we can get everything ordered in time.

Heartworm season is upon us for our canine friends. Here's a little information on heartworm as well as Lyme disease.

We have already started our blood testing and have had multiple Lyme positive cases.

The ticks are certainly out and in force this year.

Make sure to book your testing and put your furry friends on prevention.

Leptospirosis has been changed to be one of the core vaccines in Ontario as we are seeing a rise in cases.

Here is a little information on the bacterial disease.

Leptospirosis ("lepto") is a serious, often fatal bacterial disease in dogs that affects the kidneys and liver, caused by Leptospira bacteria found in soil, mud, and water contaminated by wildlife urine. Common symptoms include fever, vomiting, lethargy, increased drinking/urination, and jaundice. It is zoonotic, meaning it can spread from pets to humans.

We will be closed on Friday April 3rd and Saturday April 4 for the Easter weekend. We will be back open as of 8:30am on Monday April 6th.

Please have any medications and food orders in by March 30 to ensure we have it before the holiday for pick up.

Attention Pine Valley family, Dr. Learn will be out of the office from January 12th to January 17th.

During her absence, Dr. Yelen and Dr. Wynder will provide coverage for veterinary care. Note that on January 14th, no veterinarian will be available, although staff will be available for orders and pick ups.

For pets with medication expiring during this period, we advise requesting a refill in advance to maintain uninterrupted care.
