To finish off National Senior Pet Month we wanted to bring attention to why Annual Exams & Bloodwork Matter for Senior Pets!

As pets get older, their bodies change faster than we can see. Halloween week is here and as we all know Halloween is full of fun — but it can be spooky for our furry friends! 🐾

Here are a few quick tips to help keep your pets happy, calm, and safe this Halloween night. 👻

Keep in mind — your pet doesn’t know it’s Halloween or what all the excitement means. They just know their world might suddenly feel louder and look a little stranger.

Store any potential choking hazards or toxic treats (like chocolate or xylitol) well out of reach.
Give your pet a quiet, cozy area away from the hustle and bustle of trick-or-treaters. Enrichment toys are a fantastic add on to keep your furry friend entertained.

Even if your pet is staying indoors, make sure they have proper identification and that their microchip info is up to date — even calm pets can get startled.

If possible, take your evening walk before the little ghosts and ghouls hit the streets. Use reflective or light-up gear to keep everyone safe.

A little preparation goes a long way toward keeping your furry friend safe, calm, and happy.
