🐾 Picture this - you put on scrubs everyday, go to work, and for the entire duration of your shift you wear every one of these hats:
Nurse, Dental Hygienist , X-Ray Technician, Lab Technician, Pharmacy Technician, Food Server, Pooper Scooper, Educator, Anesthetist, Groomer, Phlebotomist, Janitor, Tech Support, Admin Support, Emotional Support person… and above all, animal lover!
You spend your day using a multitude of different voices - soothing voices, quiet but encouraging voices, excited voices, baby talk voices. Because even though your patients can’t talk you, you have this amazing ability to read them and to know exactly the type of communication that they need.
You lay on the floor with patients so they don’t feel alone, you give the ones who need space, space - while still giving them your full attention and the care that they need. You make sure they are tucked in, warm, and cozy so that they feel comfortable when they aren’t feeling well. You celebrate wins and say “good job! You’re so brave!” MANY times a day.
You cry a lot of tears, happy ones and sometimes sad - because your compassion is what makes you so amazing at your job. The list goes on - all in a days work.
These are our RVT’s. They truly are amazing!
We think they should wear a cape because although their offical job title is Registered Veterinary Technician, really they are superheroes! And honestly, we would not survive without them!
What a wonderful thing when career and passion collide. ❤️
October is RVT month, and although our love and appreciation for these amazing people who have chosen this career is something we feel every single day, we wanted to take a minute to acknowledge just how crucial their roll is in the world of Veterinary Medicine, and how thankful we are that these four wonderful humans choose us.
THANK YOU - you and loved, admired, and appreciated beyond words.
We are so lucky to have you. ❤️
